The flight was smooth, most slept, but everyone started the day a bit tired. We arrived a bit late, causing some changes in our itinerary. We were not able to do Mount Vernon today, and will start with it tomorrow. Today started with a visit to the White House, then on to the WWII memorial, a tour of the capitol, a lecture at the Supreme Court, the Korean War Memorial, the Vietnam War Memorial, and finished at the Lincoln Memorial.
The kids are tucked in and (hopefully) getting plenty of rest for tomorrow.
As the President is not in town we've switched some things around, and added an event. Tomorrow will start with Mount Vernon then continue with lunch, a visit to Ford's Theater, the Peterson House, the National Portrait Gallery, and then a walking tour of Arlington National Cemetery.
Things always work out for the best...we missed the President, but now on Monday we will be going to the Holocaust Museum. I'm happy our tour company was able to come through on our last minute request for this.
Well...I'm too tired, below are some pics, more tomorrow. 'Night!
